Photo of the Day: Waiting

Lisa and Mary in Hermann Park, June 7th 2009

This post is going to be a bit on the personal side for once, because I don't have much to say about today's photo. I took it well over a year ago, and am no longer in touch with the friends I had model for me. I do still like the shot, though.

As I mentioned previously, I'm really busy getting the house ready for relatives to visit. I'm also trying to refire my creative spark. My old DeviantART account was hacked (or something) such that I can't get at it. They've gotten in touch with me about reclaiming the account, but have yet to take action in helping me to recover it. Because the email account that it's attached to has also been compromised, I'm sort of SoL on a lot of older pieces. But, I've started a new account, solely for the posting of lolita-based photography, and I'm working on getting what I do have on hand reuploaded.

I'm also trying to rebuild my portfolio site (and every time I decide which designs to use, I see something I want to change), and I'm working on a Secret Santa exchange gift for a friend. This gift is beyond my usual crafting skills, and has been sort of an adventure. It involves a bastard file, super glue, spray paint, pearls and fake roses.

I'm making a "test" run first, then the real deal, the less-appealing of which I'll keep. I want to give my partner the better version. There will definitely be photos when they're done (and after my partner has opened her present!).

I hope you all are having a good week so far, and a nice December.

Have you been up to anything out of the ordinary lately?

i ate some gargonzola. thats all i can claim

Sucks that your old DA was hacked.

I can relate to your Secret Santa ordeal a bit. Most of the people in my group participating are making homemade stuff. My craft ideas keep falling short.

Ugh the DA thing is horrible :/ I got my WoW account hacked once and that was a huge runaround.
